Take a good look at this 2007 BMW K1200S Project Bike and imagine yourself RIDING it in the very near future. That's because it's already so close to being safely road-worthy! It starts and runs just fine, thank you. And it even looks better than you'd expect for a nearly 20-year-old bike with over 35 thousand on the clock. Basically, it needs just one service procedure done for it to pass inspection, and it's a job most people would be able to do themselves. Then, you can be on your way to great riding! More detailed information about this Project Bike is shown below, but you can learn more now simply by calling 1-888-269-2627 to speak with one of our Certified Sales Advisors — Jim, Yale, Austin, or Todd. As with all PROJECT BIKES we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. We’ve nothing to hide and our only goal is that each new owner feels they paid fairly and got good VALUE. We encourage you to call, schedule a time to meet with one of our sales advisors, and inspect the machine in person to fully understand all the positives as well as the potential downsides involved in the refurbishing process. The BMW K1200S is a sleek and stylish Sport-Touring motorcycle (emphasis on Sport) that uses its formidable 165 hp four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine to propel you happily down the road at extra-legal speeds — if that's what you want. (We know that you will ride it safely and responsibly at all times on public roads! Right?) Of course, this motorcycle is perfectly capable of providing a comfortable and confident riding experience at normal (sane) speeds as well!
There are some nice EXTRAS installed on this motorcycle! They include:
• BMW Side Cases (lightweight, expandable Sports Panniers)
• R&G Frame Sliders, R&G Axle Spools/Sliders
• Throttlemeister Passive Cruise Control
• TechSpec Pads on the fuel tank
• Laminar Lip Air Deflector (added atop the stock windshield)
Here's what you need to know about this Project Bike, our thorough analysis in a nutshell. This K1200S does not pass Maryland Safety Inspection in its current condition. But the only required fix is to renew the rear brake rotor and rear brake pads, a fairly simple operation. Assessing the cosmetic condition, you can see that this bike doesn't hide its history. It certainly has its share of scuffs and scratches, most visible on the muffler and side cases. You can take your sweet time to address these issues because none of the blemishes affect the performance of the bike in any way. For the most part, they aren't even very serious. And there's another option. If you're the kind of rider who doesn't judge a book by its cover, you can just ignore the scratches and RIDE.
On the plus side, both tires were replaced at Bob's late last year (Michelin Pilot Road 5 installed), and now, with only about 300 miles ridden since, are still in excellent condition. Some other routine service was done around the same time. Overall, the bike is in very good mechanical condition and needs no other immediate maintenance besides what was mentioned above. Give this K1200S the normal care it deserves, and you can expect it to deliver years of miles and smiles ahead.
This great PROJECT BIKE is yearning to be adopted. Hurry to Bob's and it can be YOURS!
